What kind of freon is used and how much oil do you add to the
compressor if it is new and has none in it?

Use r-134a

Can you tell me how to get the compressor to work?  My freon is low
and there are 3 wires on the pressure switch.  How do I engage the
compressor?

Once you have sufficient pressure in the system, the pressure switch will
close.  If pressure is sufficient but the compressor does not run, look
for another problem or a faulty switch.
