Car Forum / Oldsmobile Cars / May 20041990 Olds Alternator or Starter
Can anyone tell me before I take it to my repair guy if my problem is starter or alternator? I have replaced the battery twice in 2 years, the alternator once. Yesterday the starter kind of whirred when turning over, then in the motor it made kind of a squealing sound and then I could hardly turn it over. Do you think starter or alternator? THE ALTENATOR BELT MIGHT BE LOOSE.
