Currently having a problem with my 1995 Aurora not starting. The repair
shop have suggested replacing the starter with will cost roughly $1,200.
I am looking for a diagram of the starter to see exactly where it is
located and if possible to do the work myself. Also if anyone has had
this problem are there any suggestions? Thanks.

The starter at wholesale cost is under $300 Canadian. It is located under
the intake manifold. You need a special tool to disconnect the fuel lines
if Iremember correctly, but other than that it's pretty straight forward.
The intake gaskets can be reused if not damaged in the removal (according to
the manual and my own personal experience). Job took me about 2.5 hours.

Ouch, that sounds a bit steep. If I were you, go to a local autozone or
whatever you may have in your area and buy the Haynes book for your
vehicle. Not sure which motor you have but on some it's located under the
intake manifold. It's not a difficult job.

I had checked with Autozone & Advance Auto for a shop manual for my
'95 Aurora -- "Not available."
I have seen some on Ebay. I've had my Aurora for a couple of months,
(~1K miles). So I'd like to preemptivly buy an adequate Shop Manual.
Any suggestions? THANKS!!!

I am having the same problem with my 95 Aurora starting and was wondering
if you were successful in replacing yours yourself and if you have any
advice? Thanks
