Digital Instrument Cluster (Question about swapping)

I finally found a digital instrument cluster, in another Olds Cutlass (1992)
it's the really spiffy one with the half-circles for battery, fuel, oil,
temp, speedo, and tach... not the lame one with just fuel bar and digital
speedo... like was originally in my cutlass (1990) I'm just wondering if the
digital dash from the 1992 will work in the 1990? I already tried just
plugging the new one in, but the connector is slightly different, I went
back to grab the wiring harness from the 1992, I could snip the old
connector off and start soldering wires together, but why waste my time if
there's no chance of it working...

Anyone got a wiring diagram maybe? etc etc etc
TIA

No, I don't think that this will work. I read it somewhere, but I don't
remember where... Sorry. Google for '"Cutlass Supreme" "instrument
cluster" repair'. Good luck.

BTW, I have a 1990 Cutlass Supreme languishing in the front yard (sugar
in the gas tank). Damn Father-in-Law! Anyway, I digress. It has an
old-style digital instrument cluster that mostly works. (The odometer
doesn't work, but the speedo and fuel guage work perfectly. I might
consider parting the car, as the resale value of this piece of crap
(with peeling clear-coat, missing body trim and everything else that was
glued on, inside or out having fallen off). I also have brand-new
all-season tires on it . :-(

Just prior to the engine _suddenly_ not working (I haven't yet verified
sugar, but it isn't spark, fuel pressure, compression, or airflow, and
no trouble codes are stored in the ECM, and I was having it out with my
F.I.L. when it suddenly conked out -- like perfect now... oh, now it
chokes and dies immediately, if it starts at all), it ran like a champ,
had virtually no engine-wear, new brakes (but notoriously bad
self-adjusting calipers on this model of Olds), mostly perfect doors,
windows, body panels, seats, etc. it's such a waste if it's totalled,
since I think the intrinsic value of the vehicle is much greater than
the resale value.

I am in Southern Maryland if that is of any importance to you.
