Just purchased this truck(1992 bravada) and wanted to see how the smartrak worked. Pulled over in ditch and cut wheels hard to left and gave it a little gas. The back right tire started spinning but the front did not compensate. Is there an easier way to find out if it works or not.???? Put both rear wheels on gravel, dust, whatever slippery surface you can find with front wheels on pavement. Then nail it. Front wheels should grab and pull you out. Basically there's an electric actuator on the transfer case which engages the 4wd.
