Anyone know what to do about the dash covering coming off? It's starting to
shrink from the hot sun and coming off on the driver's side up where the
dash meets the air condition vent (by the windshield). Can I push it back in
a glue it somehow? Looking for low cost repair, not complete replacement of
the huge one piece dash.

I already had this happen to the airbag cover on the passenger side. The
cost was quoted at $400+ (free under warranty). I'm off the warranty now and
can only imagine the cost of replacing the entire dashboard.

And yes I Armorall monthly and cover the dash 50% of the time when it's in
the sun. Never buying GM again.

I have had my Olds 98 since 1991 and have had no fading. Auto Zone sells a
Dash Cover.... Maybe you should try that :)

Having lived in Phoenix for five years, I learned to always use a foldout sun
reflector in my vehicles. I had an 89 Audi w/leather interior that still looked
new when I sold it last month. I use one now in my leathered 2001 Silhouette
with no leather problems so far.
I also use leather conditioner with UV protectant (not Armorall).

My 95 and 92 neither one have had any trouble, and they sit in the sun
constantly.  I don't use Armourall though, used to but had problems with
it causing cracking.
