Chances are that the motor is going :(

If your machine is like the '88 Pontiac Safari wagon I used to own the power
windows are all fed from a single 30 amp circuit breaker.  My experience
with these types of problems has led me to a bad/loose connection between
the nonworking local window switch and the master switch or the companion
switch on the same side  Does the window attempt to drive when the closed
button is pushed?

When you say the wiring is fine, how did you determine that.  If all you
checked was the wiring to that door, you may be missing the boat.  Check the
wiring in the acordian wire bellow to the driver's door.  All window
circuits run through the drivers door switch and the harness to that door
sees the most flexing.  My monies on a broken wire in that loom.
