Wellno fuel to the inline filter by the tank and dont hear fuel pump
running. Is there a reset switch for the fuel pump somewhere if so please
let me know it is a 3.8 with fuel injection. Thanks

No switch.  Check to see if your fuel pump fuses are good.  I believe there
may be one in an odd location near the relays.

It may be quicker just to get a schematic and see if you're getting power
to the fuel pump at the connector at the tank.

If you do have a blown fuse, check for a chafed wire on the subframe front
rail about center where the wire harness runs near the starter.

After installing fuel filter, car turned over and shut down soon after, not
hearing fuel pump on.   Could it mean that fuel pump went bad?  Should I
search for a fuse?
