I posted the other '88 Delta 88 TCC thread, but I just got my car back from
the tranny shop, and they said my tranny is fine.
They did do a diagnostic, and here's what they written down for me:
Code 34 MAF sensor or circuit low
exhaust rich
02 Cross Counts - 0 at idle
Again, I bought this '88 Delta 88 used, now has 155K miles, original engine
and tranny as far as I know. About a week and a half ago, it starting
stalling when idle, especially when idle a half minute or so. When driving,
whether city of freeway, it hesitates and then surges. The "service eng.
soon" yellow light comes on intermittently.
If this is not fixed for a while, which I may have to live with, as it may
be anything in the systems connected to the MAF, and have to try one repair
at a time, will it harm anything just using the car for normal driving in
the meantime? I have a feeling this may take a few weeks or more to fix if
I'm unlucky. I'm not going on long trips with it now. I realize it wouldn't
pass the state emissions test, but I don't have to worry about that until
2006. Thanks again.

Oops, probably should be:
Code 34 MAF sensor or circuit low
exhaust rich
O2 Cross Counts - 0 at idle
Not "02 cross counts"
