Hello friends at alt.autos.oldsmobile,

I have an Olds LSS.  I noticed a rubber hose hanging down behind the right
rear fender.  I got underneath to take a look and there appears to be a
small electric motor with two approx. 1/4" rubber hoses.  The hoses being
disconnected don't seem to affect the performance of the vehicle.  Can
anyone tell me what that thing is and if it is important?

Thanks,
Craig

Can't say for sure, but is it possible you're looking at the power antenna
motor?  There is usually a drain on those to allow whateve water runs down
the mast to run through.
