Hi folks,

I'm trying to replace brake pads and rotors on my van.  I got to the
point where I removed the 2 bolts and the brake caliper assembly was
loose.  I pulled at it, but it seemed to get stuck.

How do I release whatever it is stuck on?

I found the brake fluid reservoir - it was different than any master
cylinder I had seen before (on older cars) - it looked like a miniature
coolant overflow reservoir.  And it had some air space at the top.

So, when (if) I get to compress the brake cylinder, I don't think I'll
have to worry about the brake fluid overflowing.

What do I need to be aware of?

Had a similar problem with my daughter's 2000 Alero.  Found out later that
if I had compressed the caliper piston first the little button on the inside
pad would not have caught on the inside of the piston.
