I have a 95 Olds Aurora and after the car is driven for awhile (
usually 3-5 miles ) the service engine light comes on. I suspect it is
transmission related because when the light is on and I put the
vehicle from park to reverse it feels as though the transmission is
going to be ripped out of the car. If the light is not on when I put
it in gear it shifts smoothly. There is no change going down the road
in the shifting it is still smooth. I have changed the fluid and
filters and did not find anything suspicious in the pan/filters.  Does
anyone have any ideas what I am up against ?
