Can anyone tell me how to program a keyless entry fob for a 1996 Olds 88?

Thanks.

What you are supposed to do is take a 3 foot wire and open your trunk.
On the right side next to the wheel behind the sidings there should be
a thing sticking out, put one end of the wire in that thing, and the
other end on a ground. Press a button on the remote, and wait for the
locks to cycle.
