Symptoms:
1.The center stop light is inoperative, the other two work fine when brake
is applied.
2.When the brake is applied, the LCD light comes on, on
the rear window defoger switch-but doesn't activate the defoger wires.
3.When driving, with the LCD light glowing (because of the problem) the
cruise control cannot be activated. Turn off the rear window switch, and
the cruise control is good to go!!
Bad ground?? If so, where? All fuses are good and the center stop lights
are good.
Thanks!!

The first thing to check for problems like this is to clean the grounds.
Sometimes they can be hard to find.

In as much as the rear window defogger and the high mount brake light are in
the same general vicinity, I would start there looking for a ground issue.
They prolly use a common grounbd wire.  Follow the harness from the brake
light and see if it runs into the tailgate glass area.  Then look for a
ground wire between the glass and the body.
