I've been having problems with my 92 cutlass ciera not starting.  It's
automatic, 6 cylinder.  It'll try to turn over but won't start.  I've had
the computer replaced because it had somethings to go out on it, but it
still won't start.  Something also keeps draining the battery, the fan on
the heater won't work and was told that that could be draining the
battery.  It has a new alternator.  If anyone has any advice on what could
be causing it not to start I would greatly appreciate it.

well, im not exactly an expert but, as far as the fan not workin...
its may have a short which would possibly make the battery drain.check
the wires for the fan. umm...as far as it not firing.check the spark
plugs...make sure they get spark. thats the only thing i can think
of...well, know of.my cutlass wont fire either.o ya...if your battery
was connected when you replaced the computer...that could be fatal to
the computer...i do know that.

It's been six months since you asked the question but i will answer it
in case someone had the same problem.

I have a 89  oldsmobile cutlass ciera and i was having problems with
the battery draining too.  This went on for about six months and i
couldn't find the problem. I checked the glove box light and the trunk
light because i was told sometimes those lights stay on and drain the
battery but that wasn't the problem.  Finally when the fan for the
heater (blower fan) quit  and i changed it, the battery stopped losing
its charge.
