Anyone got some info or links to replacing the receiver in an Alero. It's
the 1999, 150watt factory. I figure I can pop the front panel with a screw
driver, but I'm wondering if there is an extra amp somewhere, or if I need
to buy a separate amp? I need details on the factory stereo system.

I don't want to replace the speakers.

If you do have a amp it will be located behind left panel inside trunk

Hey thanks you're right! So that's what Circuit City and Best Buy meant when
they told me they had to bypass the amp to hook an aftermarket radio up. I
have to figure out how to rewire that amp so I can use it. There must be
some reason they don't want to bother rewiring it. :(
