I want to replace rear speakers 2001 Olds Alero, dealer says you cannot do
it without breaking something. Info on this would be helpful A.S.A.P.

Haha you and I have a similar problem -- mine's a 1999. If you have the amp
back there, that's the problem. I don't know if there is anything special
about the speakers, but I'm going to start looking up part numbers and see
if I can find any specs. They are standard AC Delco parts. If I can find
diagrams of what wires are for what, I'll post them.
