1986 Delta 88 Royale..idle

i just got a 86 delta 88 and im having problems with the idle....when
i start it the idle is high and stays high, and doesnt kick down
unless i let it warm up then shut off the car and restart it, then its
fine...what could be my problem here ?

I would suspect a problem with the iac motor, take it out and see if the
pintle is loose.

where is the iac motor? i replaced the throttle position sensor and
that didnt do anything... so yeah, im still in need of assistance
here..

Try autozone.com, they have a pretty good online shop manual. You really
should have someone check this out for you, it is not condusive to fixing
this car if you do not even know where the components are  located that may
need attention, you could waste a lot of money here. It is mounted in the
throtle body, approximately opposite the tp sensor, I assume this is 3.8,
fwd vehicle?
