I am able to unlock my doors using the remote with no problem, but cannot
unlock the driver side door using the key.  The key turns but the door does
not lock or unlock.  I am guessing it has just not been used in a long time
and needs some lubrication.  How would I go about that?

I think you will find if the key turns in either direction, then one of the
linkage rods from the cyl. to the lock is disconnected.
