airbag warning light

With the key in the on position the airbag light blinks 7 times like it
should indicating a the SDM is functioning, but the light does not go out.
Does the SDM store reference information and can the store info be losted
if the battery cablies are disconnected?  Can the SDM be reset to default
settings if yes how?

Needs to be scanned for Sirs codes to go any further, not for an amateur to
tinker with.

I brought it to the professionals GM Goodwrench at the Olds dealership in
Lakewood NJ

Its still not fixed

I don't know what year this vehicle is but SIRS are under warranty for 5/50
on newer vehicles, either way it is now there job to fix it.
