Hello
Just bought a 60 442 fully loaded with 455 w/AT in need of a LOT of  TLC.
Could someone point me in the right direction for info on this car using the
vin # ? And suppliers for parts? Looking to restore back to factory new or
close as I can.
Thanks for any info, Steve

Hi Steve..
Lucky dog! :-)

When I was in high school my moms best friend had a 69 4-4-2..Fully loaded,
power seats, windows, locks, tilt, trunk ect..She used to let me drive it to
school to work on it (Vocational Highschool)  I loved that car..It was white
with a black vinyl top and black stripes..She had a drunken boyfriend who
took the car one day and ran it into a pole..I wanted to kill him! :-)
Anyway, take a look here:
http://www.442.com/

As for the engine, I think the engine should be a 400 CID not a 455..But
others may chime into that..

Good luck with it..It sits next to the 66 Toronado and 66 Ninety Eight
convertable as my favorite cars...

I just started to look hard at this 442 and it is a 455 Rocket engine that's
under the hood. Will check the vin # again to make sure it's the original
before starting any major work on it.
