No, but the best is to park on level ground and use the old faithfull
dipstick! I have the oil level indicator on my 406 and its pretty good, but
i still use the old fashioned method too!

Naving no oil level indicator on my 205, but watching it working on my
parents' 206, I'd say the indicator is a bit too sensitive. And even if I
totally agree with you, I'd add that the cost of an engine (whatever it is)
compared to the cost of having a look to the dispstick makes me recommend
the good, old dipstick at least from time to time.
