Never measured it, sorry, but this is quite a common problem, and it is
normally the sensor element. Just change it.

Did you find out the resistance/voltage? I also have problem with engine
temperature on my 306.
I called Peugeot dealer and was told the temperature sensor is designed
for 5V, but when I asked which one the dealer could not answer.
By the way, the gauge on my car started showing wrong temperature. I
checked the engine, it has normal temperature. Can this be because of the
temperature sensor or it is a faulty gause? When I tried to test sensors I
found one green and one blue sensors. If it is sensor's fault, which one in
your opinion is faulty?
