My '92 XT now has an irritating problem of running roughly and often
stalling when warming up. It is fine when cold and the choke is out, fine
when fully warm and the choke is in, but more often than not shortly after
I put the choke fully in (and it is idling OK) it will struggle under part
throttle, the revs will jump about by 3-400 and it will often cut out when
the cars not moving. It always seems fine when accelerating hard. I've had
this problem twice pulling off the motorway after a long distance cruise
in cold weather too. Any suggestions?

Possibly a vacuum leak, my old 205XS had almost the same symptoms
(minus the problem after long journeys) and it was a rotten vacuum
hose coming off the intake manifold. Check all the relevent bits will
hold a vacuum properly if you suck on the hoses.
