can someone help?!?!

I have a 1999 50,000 mile 306 hdi.  Under acceleration there is what I
would describe as a tappety sound when the turbo kicks in.  There is
no loss in power with the car.  I think I can also here when the turbo
cuts out at high revs, but it is much more quiet.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Well if Peugeot have said its ok, at least it cannot be a serious fault then!

The HDI engines are high pressure direct injection, this means that fuel
can be squirted into the cylinder at any time, even under acceleration!.
So, fuel will be entering the cylinder before ignition and also during, the
noise may be a very small ammount of detonation as the fuel explosivly
combusts.  Both of the HDI 110hp engines do the same, but if it is more
than a very faint rattle talk again to the dealer.
