98 306 water leak drivers door

hi hope you can help
i noticed when i got into my 98 306 today when it was raining that there
was water coming in i open the drivers door and the water is coming in on
top of the seal then running into the car.
it seems to be coming out of the door can anybody help

Not sure if it is the same set up - but i am a ford mechanic - i drive a 307
by the way - on fords if someone has had the door trim off in the past and
removed the membrane/ plastic cover by ripping it then water will run down
the drop glass into the door and into the car - to fix this you either need
a new membrane or seal the old one with duct tape etc - don`t forget to dry
the area first - hope this helps
