106 probelm

own a peugeot 106 diesel .
have a annoying squeak on back ,when apply the brakes the noise stops
???????
any answers lol
could the brake shoes have been put in the wrong way round??

Not if your hand brake works they couldn't. Do you have the brake shoes
or brake pads? And also there is IIRC a slight difference between 3
stud and 4 stud wheel brakes. Personally if it's shoes then possibly a
sticky self adjuster or an over tensioned handbrake cable. If it's pads
then a bit of copper slip on the appropriate parts like anti rattle
shims may help.

thanks for help .took to garage weekend .was hand brake cable not releasing
,had new one fitted
