306 XRDT Immobiliser Problems?

Hi,
I own a `94 xrdt, i have been away for 5days and i have come back to
start my car and i get ignition (no crank on engine) then the
headlights flash and the dash led flashes, i have never seen this led
flash before so i presume its a problem with my immob.
The immobilser is the standerd 306 key fob remote, but the remote
buttons do not work so therefore i have been locking it from door
locks.
I have never encountered this problem before.
Any ideas?!?

I am also after a fuse chart layout diagram for the fuse box under the
steering column.
Thanks.

3 door or 5 door?
if 5 door the ecu is under the osf seat
if 3 door its behind the osr trim(next to pass seat)
in both cases check the connectors
if there is a two pin connector thgen simply connect the two wires and your
car will start
as for the alarm remove it and have an aftermarket one fitted (or DIY)

Or use the `behind the rear seat` immobiliser reset trick.

I'm sure the XRDT has?

i concur but its still a variable
also in my experience these alarms are so unreliable its still worth
removing and by passing

I haven't had any major problems - I was merely commenting that the
immobilser can be reset simply by disconnecting and reconnecting two
connectors inside the back of the rear seat.

Just like to say thanks for all your help.

The last few days i have been doing a bit of work on it myself, i was
told by a peugeot specialist that its definatly a loose starter lead.
Checked all those they were fine. So i bridged the starter just to
prove a point and it ran fine, just the headlights would flash
signaling the alarm was still on. I then found the pick up for the
alarm key and scanned over that...all was fine.
Then something wierd happened, i was curious to that button to the
right of the steering cloumn. i have breif info to what that does, so
i took off the column trim and this button was not plugged in , nor
can i find the other plug where it connects.
But ever since then (24 hours ago) it has started with no fail and no
alarm cutting in  :?  im stumped.

most likely case is that the immobiliser kicked in after low battery
voltage.
if you always used the key locks and not the remote then you would
never activate immobiliser.
make sure you have plenty of power in battery then put ignition onto
second position and press ultrasonic button on right hand side of
steering cowling within 5 seconds. this will deactivate alarm and
immobiliser.
indicators will flash when applied correctly.

That button  on the side of the cowling was not plugged in, nor can i
see where it plugs, i cant see the battery voltage being low as it has
a new bosch battery on it, maybe i disturbed an ignition lead while
lowering the cowling? i cant seem to make it happen again, it would
just be nice what caused it, otherwise it could come back anytime.

if you’re headlights flash then there is definetly a plug there for
the switch.
just a case of finding it.
it is the only way of disarming alarm/immobiliser without bypassing
extreme cases the wiring is corroded at n/s/f wing
