Hi, This just in, I've heard it on the radio @6PM (local time), 4PM GMT : Peugeot announced its intention to take part to the mythic Le Mans 24 race in 2007, with a new Diesel-powered car. All I know is the car should have a particle filter. Knowing what Peugeot guys are able of, could well announce some nice racing ! Just 'cause my parents' '02 206 is badly painted, damn they even spray better @ renault's ! And BTW, they don't build 307s in Ryton, according to the PSA's annual report for yr 2003, published in 2004. Sorry, I certainly took it the same way, with Keith writing he hopes the next Pug LM prototype isn't based on the 307 (T5) and Jeff adding UK-built Pugs were different from France-built ones, I guess I was led wrong. I was disapointed to see that the Taurus Sports Lola with the Volkswagen V10 diesel wasn't refined a bit for this year. One of it's major problems was too much torque; it was gearbox failure that led to their retirement last year. Perhaps VW Audi put their oar in and stopped them using the V10 as they allegedly have plans for a Le Mans diesel of their own. |
