Peugeot 106 quiksilver sittin above 10 thousand revs

Hi there, I was wondering if any one can help me, i start my peugeot
106 quiksivler 1998 car and it will sit above 10 thousand revs then
will jump and cut out. I then start it after and it will be fine it
will sit on 10 thousand revs at a stand still and will not jump. Does
any one have any solutions to this problem.

Are you sure it is 10 thousand revs and not 1000 rpm?

Yes it is 1000 RPM. oops! But this still isn’t right it should sit
either on it when i start the car or just below does any one know what
the promblem might be.

No clue, coolant sensor fail ? Stepper motor ?
