the car has had problems with been very greedy, 20 miles cost me £10 in
diesel

got that fixed and it now has acquired a snail like persona.

the car has always been pretty quick but now gets put to shame by a moped.

I get the feeling the turbo has gone due to not hearing the swish that my
other 406 on a s plate has.

anyone else had similar faults with this model and how much will.

other that that, nice cars both mine are fleet cars and done near 250k miles
each.

any help appreciated

I think that you should sell your 406 and buy a low mileage car - at 250k
your 406 is well past it's prime.

Fit a boost guage. Then you can see what the Turbo is doing. If it's really
not making boost, then it's either shafted, or you have a leak - it's a very
simple system.

To be honest though, I wouldn't bother at 250 thousand miles ! Just throw it
in the bin, and buy another.
