I have just taken ownership of a Peugeot 406 (2001 model). There was no owners manual with the car, and there is an orange warning light which is always illuminated. The light is a passenger wearing a seatbelt, with a bubble to the right of them. What does this light signify? Hi, > The light is a passenger wearing a seatbelt, with a bubble to the right > of them. Should be the airbag error light. Look for a loose connector, usually behind the seat. Look for a red circle with a slot in it somewhere on the dash or console, it will be labelled Airbag Pass. I can see the red-circle, and when I set it to "activated" then I get an orange light on the dash which says the words "AIR BAG". It goes off when I set it to "de-activated". Wiggled all the wires under the seat, and it doesn't seem to change the state of the light. You NEED an owners manual with any modern car as complex as the 406.
