peugeot 406 changing wiper blade on driver side

Hi please could somebody please advise how i can change the wiper balde on
the driver side i try to raise the arm it is sitting on but it is sitting
under the bonnett i i have tried lifting to half a cycle but it will not
raise any higher than half an inch please help thanks

Erm, pop the bonnet and try whilst it's up?
You have to do that with most cars these days aas the wipers are usually
tucked away below the back edge of the bonnet.

I did mine a few weeks ago.   I did not need to raise the bonnet or
anything.   With the clip undone there was enough clearance to slide the
unit off.   I ran the wipers and switched off the ignition when the blade
was at the top of its stroke.  Then you lift the lever where the blade fits
on the arm and slide the blade unit down the arm and out of the hooked end
on the arm.   There is sufficient space in the blade frame to do this
without having to lift it very far away from the screen.
