I had a HUGE leak on my 206 today, only noticed it as i was driving
along as it was dark when I got in but there was about 1 cm deep waer
in the drivers side footwell.  It must have happened during the day,
and it did rain quite heavily in the day, as when i got in to the car
it was unusually steamed up but thought nothing of it until i went to
pick something up off the floor.  All around the well sides seems dry
so it can't have dribbled in from the dor seal etc so it is a bit of a
mystery.  This happened to anone else?  any thought?

It seems like your internal heater matrix or a pipe to it has broken.
The internal heater matrix emits heat by using hot water from the engines
cooling system. This is piped inside to a mini radiator the internal fan is
used to blow air over it which gives you the hot air.
Check the level on your expansion tank under the bonet. It could now by
dangerously low.

Regards
Gary
