i have a 405 diesel,into which i have fitted a goodmans dab/cd player
(model gce 7007dab).the radio was fitted about a year ago,and over the
past few months the cd's sound like they are scratched to b&^^%£"S.i only
use copied cd's in the car in case the car gets nicked.when the engine is
not running the cd's sound ok ,but turn the engine on they sound like an
old 78 being played.on the house cd player they sound ok. thought the
player might be loose but holding it in position makes no difference.any
ideas before i send the unit back.ps the radio sounds ok.

If you can't take it back try a lens cleaning CD first - it is
obviously the engine vibration stopping the CD reading properly.
