Hi, I know that the RD4 radio CD player has a Mp3 capability that has
to be switched on by the dealer and will involve having a socket
fitted. If the radio has the Mp3 switched on will the CD player
recognise a CD containing MP3 files? Is there a charge for switching
on? and has anyone used the FM transmitters that you can plug into the
cigarette lighter socket and your Mp3 Player? thanking you in advance
Tony C.

the regular RD4 doesnt have MP3 playback, and its not upgraduable by the
dealer with a software update, the only way is then to install a MP3 RD4.
the Rd4 does have 2 AUX inputs, and both can be switched on by the
dealer. so you can play MP3 on the regular RD4 but true the external source.

Rd4 doesn't have x2 aux inputs as standard .please don't mistake these for
the rca ones in the glovebox as these will cut-off at approx 5 m.p.h.You need
to purchase lead part number 9706AG fit it,then get one of our dealers to
turn it on using pps..all the best mark
