look at the exhaust. it might be hitting .or rear shockers or rubbers on

You might take everything out of the boot first and see if it still does it.
Amazing how a loose spare wheel or something can sound like broken
suspension.

Thanks guys, I've already done all the obvious stuff prior to posting -
removed spare wheel and carrier, checked exhaust (first thing I
suspected!) etc plus I would hope the guys at the garage would have
checked the shocks and mounts before going to the trouble of tightening
the subframe bolts but I will have another root around this weekend
weather permitting.
