peugeot 106 will not start

There is no power to coil pack.engine turns over will not fire, rev counter
not moving on turn over. had diferences of opinion on this some say ecu
some say not. could it be the sensor near the fly wheel any ideas

Can anyone tell me where to find the speed sensor on a 106 petrol engine
does it have one. found a multi fuction switch and reversing switch but no
speed sensor.

More or less at the front of the gearbox, where it joins to the
engine.
