Hi all,
Maybe some of you remember me asking a question a few weeks ago regarding
fixing the faulty display on my '96 406. Seems like the displays on the
"older" models have a lot of probs. However, in the meantime untill I get
the display fixed or replaced ($$), maybe some of you can help me out ?
As the speedometer is faulty I have no idea what speeds I'm driving :) I
have a global idea, but it would be nice to know. Could you help me get some
rev-counter readouts at specific speeds (km/h) in gears 3, 4 and 5 : 50, 70,
80, 100, 120, 140.
Many thanks helping me out with this unusual request :) I really appreciate
it.
David.

hi david, i have the same problems. ive got a 91 405 DL auto....speedo
stopped working on my honeymoon up to montreal. the tach works, so i
know like you what the rough speed is. i drove next to my dad and mad
a chart of the rpms...2000, 3000, 4000....it's about DOUBLE on my
405,....if you're going 3000 on the freeway with an auto you're doing
about 65 mph.
anyways, there are a ton of electrical problems. clock, and most of
the sensors on the dash , except OIL and COOLANT still work!!
ive gotten used to it, to fix it would cost more than the value of the
car...and there's only one dealer in the US who could do it, and that's
ALBERTO in NewJersey, (Ramsey Peugeot)
you could ask him if you want...
take care -- john

Too bad I'm in Holland ;) I'll have to live with it for now I guess.
Cheers,
