Replaced the lambda sensor on son's 306 XSi this afternoon as Pug
dealer said it was showing a fault code. Wiring was exactly the same
colours so no problem there and it came out fairly easily ! Problem is
that the engine management light is still on and it idles roughly
still. Obvious question -- does he now need to take it back and have
the fault cleared from the ECU or is there any other way to reset it?
TIA

Go here: http://www.peugeotdiesel.com
It'll tell you how to read and clear the fault codes.

Many thanks, I'll give it a try. Read the page and it looks like I
should really clear all the faults/codes and see what happens!

Seems all is sorted now. He disconnected the battery for 10 minutes
and it's running very sweet now!
Thanks the help and advice.
