306 seats not catching

Hi all,

I have a 3dr 306 Turbo Diesel hatchback which serves me well.

However, if I lift up the front seats to let someone into the back, when I
put them back down, they don't always catch.  This means that the person in
the rear gets a seat plus the weight of the person in front flying into
their shins.

Is this something simple that can be fixed by tightening something up, or
would the seats need removed to replace something?

The back seats are used rarely enough that it is sufficient for me to give
sufficient warning to passengers, but it is annoying all the same!

Thanks,
Sean

look under the seat you should see two runners one each side. put wd40
all over the teeth that go into the holes which hold the seat.also make
sure the lever is returning after you have covered it all in wd40.
good luck..
