i have recently got a 406 and can not get hold of the pin code (got
from auction). this gives me problem when starting the car as it
sometimes locks and does not start. i have been advised to start the
car 30 seconds fter opening the dooors or else it locks, with the rede
light on the pad continuosly on. the radio as well needs a pin is there
a way around this. is it possible to reprogramme these pins

You can only change the pin number if you know the old one.

Best option is to start the engine  and then unplug the keypad. Never unplug
the keypad and then try to start the engine as it will lock you out forever
