I have an idea that you're not giving us enough information. How do you
expect anyone to help you if you don't tell them what equipment you're
working with?

Why type in capitals and in rubbish English? If someone wants to fit one
then fine I have no objection. It might even save some petrol which is even
better.

Yes but what model of thingummy jig is it for heaven's sake? You need to
pick up a signal from a petrol flow sensor and one from the speedo at the
very least I would have thought. But without knowledge of the type of gizmo
that you're trying to fit, it's a bit like asking how long a pice of string
is.

Hello Duck
I'm not familiar with the display on the 406, but the 605 controls the
information display with a button on the end of the wiper control stalk.
The 605s that do not have the information display (fuel consuption etc.),
but only clock and outside temperature, do not have the extra button.
Check your manual and see how the information display is controlled, and
whether you have the necessary controls installed.

Hi All
I brought a 96 406 and decided to get display unit too! To my defence I did
notice there was a wire with pins in the back before i brought one so i
assumed it would work. I fitted it and it just flashes too. I've noticed
there are four settings on the side via a white circle switch, try those
thery might help you. They didn't help me, i thinks its just the age of the
car or it might need programming some how?!!
I'll try and get the model number for the display unit to see if theres
different ones. I know there are different ones for the coupe. Mine is the
one with a flat and rounded side that fits near the hazard lights etc. Also i
have no button on my stalk.
Anyone else with thoughts on this would be great.
Cheers
