Excessive fuel consumption....
Air filter element dirty or clogged.
Preheating system fault.
Incorrectly adjusted idle speed.
Incorrect fuel injection pump timing.
Brakes binding,
Tyres under-inflated.

The normal cure for black smoke is to floor the fast pedal in second on an
empty road and wait for the smoke to clear, most of it will be soot in the
exhaust.
Otherwise, as you have had new injectors fitted (I assume correctly, and
that they were set to the correct opening pressure for the pump) then the
only other thing is the pump internal control.
Don't know which pump you have but some have a diaphragm which senses turbo
pressure and increases the fuel supply accordingly. This might have gone out
of adjustment.
I had a 405 turbo which showed this problem, and was able to adjust the
spring pressure under the diaphragm to cure it. It could be that this spring
has weakened, but it would be unusual.

If your model is fitted with an EGR ( Exhaust gas re circulation)
valve - check that it is not sticking - you will more than likely have
to remove it to check - if it is and it will free off great - if not
replace it - if it is working ok then try blocking off the vac pipe
going to it - then give it a good thrashing to clear it out -
hopefully this will fix the problem !
