My 309 makes a dreadful grinding/droning noise from under the front end when
driving.  Sounds like a wheel bearing really on its final throws but its NOT
them.  Someone mentioned the intermediate bearing on the R/H driveshaft.
Any ideas?

Its worth checking that a stone hasn't got in between a calliper and disc.
