Problem replacing wiper blade

Is it possible to replace the wiper blade when the arm will only pull back a
couple of inches?

I have moved the blades from the parking position but arm on the passenger
side pulls right back and replacement is easy, whilst the other one is of a
different design and only allows slight movement away from the screen.

Obviously I could remove the arm but, according to Haynes, this could
require the use of a 'puller', which I don't have.

So is there any little trick that I can employ and is it worth considering
changing the arm?

A bit more info would be helpful such as the model of Peugeot.

Yes; sorry about that.

It is for the driver's side of a 2002 Reg 406 HDI.

Mine only lifts a little but the blade unit slides down out of the hooked
end after you lift the lever and can be released quite easily.   Looks
harder than it is.

Thanks, Keith. I will have a closer look at it. Perhaps it isn't as bad as I
think!

I do admit to having a blank spot when it comes to changing wiper blades.
