Hi all!
I would be extremely grateful if you could help me out with a few
problems I'm having with my new stereo which I installed in place of
Peugeot's factory one.
Firstly, I have a 2002 model of the 206 (without the fancy electronic
LCD screen in the dash -- but with the standard digital clock / message
display system just below the windscreen) and I replaced the factory
stereo with a Sony CDX-GT300 CD player unit. I connected the cables
correctly with the help of an experienced mechanic, however I find now
that the in-dash clock (below the windscreen) no longer functions
correctly.
The clock displays the time, though it is incorrect, and I am unable to
set it using the normal buttons. Also, the messages such as "Right
Front Door Open" are displayed on this clock's screen but they freeze
up and do not dissapear even after you close the door (though the do
stop scrolling across the screen).
I can only presume these problems have arisen because the clock's
screen was being controlled somehow by the factory stereo.
Is there anything I can do to resolve these problems?
If you have any information on this at all, I would sincerely
appreciate it as the problem is driving me crazy.
Many thanks!

I think you should ring up some radio people and ask for some help. or
you might end up blowning all the fuses or burn all the wires out..

You need a little gizmo from connects2 which interfaces between the
SONY and the onboard display. Daughter has the same setup and it works
fine. Costs about £50 though!! Halfords sell them but they may have to
order it in. All the stick functions work as well.
