Replacing the heater matrix

Hi, does anyone know of a method to replace a heater matrix on an l reg
106 kid 1.4 diesel without ripping apart half the dash in the process.
tried it at the scrappers the other week and resorted to a hammer!!

any help would be most appreciated

sorry to say dash got to come OUT

cheers mate! i've got a pal who did it on his k reg 205 and found a
cheat to only remove part of the dash and inside of an hour too. looks
like i'll be giving him a call. thanks for the info though
