206 air bag fault

hi does any one know of a cause or cure for a 206 air bag fault code
snap on scanner says no codes present but the display says air bag
fault , the car in question is a 53 reg 1.4 se

Most Peugeots have some ropey connectors under the front seat(s) where the
seat belt tensioner connects into the air bag system. These connectors
invariably need cleaning and reconnecting although my Peugeot agent solders
them.
