Hi,

My 405 diesel estate is stranded with a completely flat battery. I've
found a nearby garage that will happily charge the battery up for
small change if I bring it to them, but I'm a bit worried about the
immobiliser.

Am I right in thinking that the immobiliser will be fine (ie not reset
or anything) if the battery is removed for a period of time? If not,
is there some way to disable it?

Thanks,

Peter

The one on my 1995 1.8i 405 petrol (keypad type) works fine after the
battery is reconnected.
